I’m pretty sure that most of you know that I am a proud alumna of Douglass College. I attended my 10th reunion this weekend, and we had a great time reminiscing about the days when we were going to change the world with our chalking 😉 One of the annual reunion events is the spa run by the Young Alumnae Network. Alumnae can get makeovers or a massage, have a snack, or just relax in a big comfortable chair!
Charlie Thyme donated bags of red and black candies with cute little Red Pine tags. They were so much fun to make, and even Charlie said, “Oh, Mama, look! A Dougle!”
I also did a canning demonstration, showing everyone how few supplies you need to get started with preserving food at home. The attendees sampled strawberry vanilla jam and lime curd- both proclaimed as delicious! We had a great “Canning Conversation” and everyone took home a sample of pickling spice. The group was a great mix of new and old friends, and I was so excited to share my love of canning with everyone!
We have a big week coming up- and I’m hoping to share some exciting news with you soon!
